The Salmar Theatre opened in 1949 replacing the Rex Theatre. Seating for the Salmar is listed at 416. The theater became the Salmar Classic Theatre when the Salmon Arm Committee Association opened the new four-screen Salmar Grand Theatre.
The Salmar Classic features independant, foreign, classic, and special features along with live theater.
