The Pinellas Square Cinema I-II-III, located in the Pinellas Square Mall, was opened in 1977. It was initially built and operated by General Cinema with Cobb taking over operations in 1991.
The debut bookings (May 27, 1977) were "Day of the Animals", "The Sting" and "Smokey and the Bandit".
The longest-running, most-successful booking during the theater’s life was "Star Wars", which played a 53-week engagement in 1977-78. This was the longest run of the film in Florida and the second-longest in the South.
The theater was a discount house during the latter years of its life.
