The Elkton Theater was operating prior to 1941, when it was listed with 300 seats. It had the same seating capacity in 1943, but by 1950, the Elkton Theater was listed with 808 seats.

In it’s earlier years it was operated by Valley Enterprises and then by Roth Theatres. It was in operaation as early as 1938. A couple sites list it as being on Main St. but there is no Main St. in Elkton, the Main thorough fare in Elkton is State St. but the theatre was located on Spotswood.
