The Shore, located in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago, was opened in 1927 and sat nearly 1500. Like the other larger South Shore movie houses, the Jeffery and the Hamilton, the Shore was operated by Warner Brothers from the 30s until the 50s.
The Shore remained a popular movie venue for decades, but has since been closed and torn down and the site is today a vacant lot.

The shore was oddly built at an angle to the street to fit the largest possible theater to the lot. It is at least partially demolished. Part of the structure to the rear of the building on the site follows the footprint of the auditorium and may or may not be part of it.
This opened on December 29th, 1927. Grand opening in the photo section.
