Savoy Theatre

Located in Wokingham, Berkshire. The Electric Theatre was a conversion of a shop, and opened in 1913. All seating was on a single level.

By 1935, it was operated by Basingham Theatres Ltd. and had been re-named Savoy Theatre. In 1936, it was taken over by the Union Cinemas chain, and they were taken over by Associated British Cinemas(ABC) in October 1937.

By 1942, Basingham Theatres Ltd. were again operating the Savoy Theatre, and they continued to do so until it closed in January 1951.

The building reverted back to retail use, and in recent years has become a branch of the Nationwide Building Society.
