The Rex Theatre was operating prior to 1941. It was still known as the Rex Theatre in 1943.

In 1948 the Elmo Theatre ran a display advertisement in the Custer City High School Yearbook, owned by Elmo C. Rankin. At this writing no other information is available. Please include anything you may know.
