The Salt Lake Tribune reported on April 17, 2012 that Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatres had acquired 11 Westates theaters and the Red Cliffs Cinemas was one of them. The other acquired theaters are in St. George, Logan, Cedar City, Utah and Mesquite, Nevada.
The Tribune says that Westates Theaters was founded by Tony Rudman in 1958 and had 25 locations before Rudman’s death 2010. Tony Rudman Jr. says Westates will continue to operate its remaining locations in Arizona, Idaho, Nevada and Utah.
As for the four-screen Red Cliffs Cinemas, it is currently St. George’s only art house.

Their website says it is on “Red Cliff” Drive while the sign on the building says “Red Cliffs.” This may have been a typo on their website because the nearby LHM Pineview 10 is on “Red Cliffs” Drive.
Ron, Red Cliffs is correct, after living in Utah for 8 years I know it is “Cliffs”.
