A neighborhood second-run(although some first run B movies were shown) theater on the northside of Columbus, Ohio. It began as the New Theater in 1914 and was renamed the Northern Theater in 1915, according to Phil Sheridan. The Film Daily Yearbook lists seating capacity as 452 in 1927 and 457 in 1945. The last Columbus Dispatch newspaper showtimes listing is on May 8, 1954 with “The Joe Louis Story” and “The Neanderthal Man”.

Zip code is not correct. It should be 43215, not 43085 (which is much farther north on High Street in Worthington).

The Northern was located on High Street approximately where I-670 goes under the High Street Cap, where Bar 23 is now located.
