The 4,100-seat AMC Puente Hills 20 opened on April 18, 1997 in the shell of the former Broadway department store. The opening of an IMAX screen was celebrated on June 24, 2009 with the latest “Transformers” movie. AMC said the IMAX screen was put in an already existing auditorium.

funny how 20 plexes rate as a cinema treasure when they are main reason for the end of the good days of the theatre biz..
The signature feature of this theatre is the freakishly large (by modern standards) lobby. The unit’s original department store layout, coupled with the relatively spartan design of a 90’s era megaplex, ended up creating a lobby that is reminiscent of an indoor sports facility.
