The 947-seat Sherman Theatre opened in 1917 in downtown Regina. On January 23, 1922, Famous Players took it over and renamed it the Grand Theatre, which operated until 1957. The Grand Theatre was later demolished with other neighboring buildings to make way for construction of The Bay department store.
