Located on the corner of Fore Street and Crockwell Street, in Bodmin, Cornwall. The Picture Theatre was opened in 1911 with 300 seats. In the early-1920’s it was re-named Turrett Kinema, and in April 1930 it was equipped with an Edibell sound system. Soon after, it was taken over by a new operator and re-named Palace Theatre, and had a British Thomson Houston(BTH) sound system installed. Seating was now provided for 400.

Part-time bingo was introduced on Sunday’s & Wednesday’s in the 1960’s. The Palace Theatre was closed in the early-1980’s. It was taken over by an estate agents, and the front of the building was demolished in January 1988, today operated by Stratton Creber.
