The Star Theatre was located in a bank building built in the early 1920’s on North Main at Court Street. After falling into disrepair, the city finally demolished the building in 2000.

Larwence Jones was the owner of the Star Theatre and seating was listed at 500. Mr. Jones owned a number of theatres in the Soda Springs area. He also owned the Idaho Theatre which was just down the street from the Star.
I think it’s Malad City, as opposed to Malad.
In 1935 the Star had 500 seats. Oddly enough, it is listed in the Film Daily as being in Malad, Idaho.
The Star Theater had a 2/5 Wicks organ installed in 1922 according to PSTOS.
There was another movie house in Malad City named Aldia and it was located on Pig Alley.
