Leominster 10

Opened on June 25, 1969 by Sack Theatres as a twin, in 1971 two additional auditoriums were built bringing the theatre to a quad. Auditorium 2 was later split and the theatre became a 5 plex. I could find no info as to when it was expanded to a 10 plex. After Sack Theatres it was operated by USA Cinemas, followed by Loew’s and finally Entertainment Cinemas.

The theatre features high back plush seating, digital projection and sound, 3D capabilities, large screens and first run attractions,

Any further information on this cinema would be appreciated.

An article in the 2/11/1971 Fitchburg Sentinel touting the gala opening of Sack Cinemas 3 and 4 states “The two new movie houses were packed to capacity. Parking lots in front and in the rear of the new building as well as the one adjacent to Cinema 1 and 2 were also filled.”

Is it possible the original 1-2 and 3-4 were in separate buildings? In 1971 it wasn’t uncommon for theatres to be build near each other but not share lobbies etc.
