This is not to be confused with the Comus/Strand/Lyric theatre on N. Broadway. This Strand Theatre opened in former retail premises in the early-1930’s with seating listed at 334. It was operated by Malco Theatres. It was often just called the Malco. This Strand Theatre closed in the early-1960’s. The building is now used for retail.

October 24, 1956 photo added courtesy Chris Lay. State Fair and Dairy Show. Malco or possibly Tupelo marquee right of center. Matches up with current street view as now part of Reeds. Building still standing.
The building dates to before 1889, although the front appears to have been remodeled around 1910-20. It was used for retail until conversion to a theater.
