The State Theatre was opened September 3, 1937 by Warner Bros. Circuit Management Corp. Seating was listed at 396. It was later operated by North Ohio Theatres and Paramount, the same as the Kentucky Theatre. The State Theatre closed in December 1957. The building now houses the Main Street Furniture.

This was opened by Warner Brothers on September 3rd, 1937. Two grand opening ads in the photo section.

Apparently, my Grandfather (John Charles Vaught) was involved with the Kentucky Theatre for two years and became manager of the State Theatre. I learned this recently from a newspaper clip I have. I don’t know exactly what year though (before 1944).
