Greater Huntington Theatre Co. opened the Park Place Cinema 7 prior to 1988. It became the Park Place Stadium Cinema 11 by 1999. The cinema features all stadium seating, all DLP digital projection, RealD 3D, Dolby digital 7.1 sound in four auditoriums, wall to wall curved screens and first run attractions.

Any additional information on the Park Place Cinemas would be appreciated.

Used to be known as the Park Place Cinema 7, before four additional screens were added and the stadium seating retrofit took place. Not sure when it opened, but it was much earlier than 1999. I saw FARGO there in 1996. Perhaps 1999 was the year it became an 11 screen.

Saw “The Doors” there in 1991 also saw the original “Child’s Play” in 1988 when I was a Junior in high school. It was fairly new in ‘88 so it couldn’t have been open for too long then.
