Located in West Mersea, Essex, the British Legion Hall was built in 1924. By the mid-1930’s films were being shown there on a regular basis, showing the latest releases twice a week. It was operated by Mr. S. Woolf. It is not known when film shows ceased (the cinema is not listed in the 1934 or Kine Year Books beyond then) but the building continues as a general purpose function hall under the ownership of the Royal British Legion.
