One of the first twin theaters bulit in Ponce, Puerto Rico’s third-largest city. They played first run movies and were very popular until bigger multiplexes became more attractive to moviegoers. This was a family owned theater that sadly closed down in 2000 and is now occupied by a restaurant.

Some additional info. for El Emperador 1 & 2. Architect: George Schavran. Chain: not affiliated to any chain; owned by the Torruella family. Seats: 575 each Current Function: restaurant (Chilli’s)
