Located in Musselburgh, East Lothian. The Hayweights Cinema was opened in 1924 with 800 seats. It was independently operated by Mr. P. Di Rollo. Around 1929 it was equipped with a British Thomson Houston(BTH) sound system. The Hayweights Cinema was enlarged in the mid-1930’s to 1,050 seats.

Around 1945, Mr. Di Rollo had died and the cinema was being run of behalf of his estate. A café was added to the building at this time.

The Hay Weights Cinema was closed in the late-1960’s and was converted into a bingo club, which operated for many years.

The building was purchased by the J.D. Wetherspoon chain of pubs and converted into a pub known as the David MacBeth Moir, which opened on 14th February 2012.
