Electric Palace

Located in Creswell, to the southwest of Worksop, Nottinghamshire. The Electric Palace was opened by Mr. J.R. Rogers in August 1910. It had a 14 feet deep stage and three dressing rooms to be used by artistes who appeared in stage presentations as part of the film programme.

The Electric Palace was destroyed by fire in the early hours of the morning of 29th July, 1938. The film being presented that week was Jeanette McDonald in “The Firefly”.
