One of two Pershing Theatres operating in 1926, the other was on N. Lincoln Avenue. This Pershing Theatre was opened in 1908 as Weisenfreund’s 12th Street Theatre. In 1914 it was renamed Gartner’s Pavilion Theatre. Renamed Pershing Theatre in 1920 it operated under that name until 1929 when it closed.
It was reopened in 1933 as the New Irving Theatre, but quickly closed later that year. It has since been demolished.
