Located in the small coastal town of Pineta Mare, south of Castel Volturno, northwest of Naples. Opened prior to 2001, the Hotel Costa Bleu contained a full-size movie theatre which seated around 250. At that time the U.S. Navy used the hotel for temporary lodging for incoming and outgoing military personnel stationed in the Naples area.

In late-2001/early-2002, the U.S. Navy turned it over to the Italian government after the construction of a new Navy Lodge on the Support Site (a U.S. Navy site that housed families and had a commissary and Naval Exchange store among other morale and welfare facilities).

In 2001 the movie theatre was operating with the older changeover type system (two projectors with Xenon lamphouses running 1 hour reels of film).
