Palace Cinema

Located in St. Annes-on-Sea, to the south of Blackpool, Lancashire. The building was original built in the late-1800’s as an Assembly Rooms. It was converted into the Palace Cinema in 1921 and was operated by Palace Cinemas & Café Ltd. It had a 28 feet wide proscenium and there was a café and ballroom in the building It was soon taken over by the Blackpool Tower Co. Ltd. It was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system around 1930.

The Palace Cinema was closed in the late-1950’s. Today it is an indoor market and retail use.
