The old Albion in Castleford in August 2005

It opened on 2nd December 1912 with seating in stalls and circle. It was built by a local builder, Joseph Craven. It closed in 1927 when the New Albion Cinema (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures) opened a few doors down Albion Street. The building was later used for a variety of small businesses, but by 2022 it was vacant.
