There is no known opening date for the Rex Theatre at 415 E. Center Street (also shown as 425 E Center Street), but the first advertisement appeared on Oct 27, 1915. The city directory of 1929 lists the establishment as the ‘Iris Theatre’, and later entries are for the Rialto. The last entry in a City Directory was for 1955.

This location is now a vacant lot. The 1921 Fire Insurance Map shows the location to be about three buildings east of Third Avenue.

When this theatre opened I found and article saying that it was the Rex Theatre at 415 E. Center, later being names the Rialto seating 625.

A Wurlitzer theater organ opus 1147 style “B” Special was installed in the Rex Theater on 8/31/1925.
