The long-gone Bellflower Theatre was located on Somerset (now Bellflower) Boulevard on the Sanborn Maps of 1925, but old photographs show a theater was there probably even earlier than 1925. The Film Daily Year Book of 1927 listed the theater with 500 seats.
The 1932 maps show the theater converted to a store and a new theater (later called the Nubel Theatre then Holiday Theatre), constructed in 1929, on the other side of the street. From a study of the Year Books, the newer theater was also called the Bellflower Theatre until it became listed as the Nubel Thetare in 1949.
