You may like to know that when th cinema was closed the building was acquired by Rediffusion Northeast. Where it was converted into a warehouse for storing rented television sets. There was also a workshop for the repair of the TVs on the site, as well as a telephone room where subscribers to the company’s wired radio and television service could report a fault either in the wired radio and TV network or their rented television set.

Despite the conversion, you could detect traces of what was the old cinema.
