Located in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, to the north of Ely. The Public Hall was built in 1888 and opened in January 1889. It was a brick building with an ornamental front and seated 600. There was a 6ft deep stage. Films were screened here in 1898.

In late-1923 it was re-named Cinema Hall and in 1926 it was re-named Empire Cinema. In 1931 it was equipped with a British Thomson Houston(BTH) sound system. Alterations were carried out in 1935 and the stage was now 17ft deep, the proscenium 26ft wide, and the seating capacity had been reduced to 400. The Empire Cinema was damaged by a fire in 1938 and never reopened.
