The Examiner, 2 October 1937 —- With to-day’s announcement of the opening next Tuesday of the Star Theatre, Invermay, comes the fulfilment of an ambition on the part of the directors of Star Theatres Pty. Ltd. to extend their chain of theatres to the suburbs of Launceston, with such a model theatre as has been enjoyed by local citizens who have been fortunate enough to holiday in Sydney—the home of the intimate and modern luxury theatre
