The Popular Auto Theatre was opened on August 5, 1949 with Barbara Stanwyck in “California”. By 1955 it was operated by William Statlander. Now Papa John’s Pizza and other businesses.

Had a soft opening on August 5th 1949 with “California”, the formal grand opening was on August 14th.
