Robb & Rowley opened the Queen Theatre on December 22, 1926, with John Ford’s “3 Bad Men”.
By 1929 the Queen Theatre was operated by Hall Industries Theaters, who remodeled and reopened it on August 12, 1931, as the Rex Theatre, a ‘popular priced house’. The 1933 Film Daily Year Book lists the Rex Theatre as closed with 350 seats but it apparently reopened again. Other Hall Industries Theaters were in Alice, Aransas Pass, Beeville, Cuero, Kennedy, Sinton, Taft, and Three Rivers.
According to the Kingsville Record, the theater closed April 30, 1950.
