Located in Royton, midway between Rochdale and Oldham, Lancashire. The Electra Picture Palace was opened in 1910. In October 1918 it was renamed Electric Palace Cinema. On 24th November 1919 it reverted back to its Electra Palace name. By 1934 it was operated by the Palatine Cinema Co. Ltd.
The Electra Palace Cinema has a claim to fame as it was the last operating silent cinema in the British Isles when it closed in September 1937.
