Opened in 1905 as the Star, a 190-seat vaudeville house which later also showed silent films, this theater was renamed the Oregon in the early 40s, and also increased its size to over 400, when it was expanded into the next-door former grocery store space.
In 1965, the Oregon was acquired by the Kerasotes Theatres chain, which operated it until 1981, when it was closed. Afterward, the former movie house was turned into an electronics store.
Its sloping floor and triangular-shaped marquee (which now advertises the name of the store) still remain.
