This neighborhood theatre opened in the 1920’s as the Homestead and closed as a movie theatre around 1979. The movie theatre, in its final years, was also known as the Last Picture Show.
The theatre is currently known as the Phantasy Theatre, and is a major rock music venue in the Cleveland area.

A guide prepared for the 5th annual Lakewood History Walk (Quick View at Google Documents) says that the Homestead Tehatre was built in 1916. A couple of other sources say it was built in 1917, so maybe it was begun in 1916 and completed in 1917. It’s definitely pre-1920, though.
