Embassy Art House Cinema

The Embassy Theatre was built in 1882 as a hotel. Around 1917 it was converted into the Popular Picture Palace. By 1959 it was re-named Embassy Theatre and was operated by the Amalgamated Theatre Ltd. chain. It was later operated by Hoyts Theatres. In the early-1990’s it became the Embassy Art House Cinema and closed in 1995.

In 2013 it was converted into the City Impact Church. Occasionally tours of the building are arranged.
