Rivoli Theatre

Viewing: Photo | Street View

This 1920s-era movie house, located on Monmouth’s Main Street, was last operated by the Kerasotes chain. It later became a concert venue, but has again since closed.

As a movie theater there may have been 1200 seats, but as a venue for concerts there were 700 seats. The layout is/was: 1200 total capacity – 1000 main floor standing (500 seated) plus 200 seated balcony. Total seating should be 700.

I am the current operator of the Rivoli. It is not closed, but we only have occational concerts. The Rivoli will soon be getting a facelift on the inside. We will be fixing up the lobby and adding a bar on the inside. We will still have concerts, but we will have wedding receptions, private parties, special events, and general bar/dance club nights. Anyone with pictures or memorabilla from the Rivoli, we would love to have them. Posting pictures would be great too. I would like to renovate the lobby with an old time original look. Please help!
