What’s unique about the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora where it currently housed 3,000 inmates as of 2023 is that it formerly had a 1,200-seat capacity single-screen movie theater somewhere inside the prison during both the silent-and-sound eras. It was listed in the 1931 edition of Film Daily Yearbook but probably was never open to the general public.
