The Mecca Palace Theatre was opened on June 20, 1914. By the early 1940’s it was operating as the Mecca Theatre by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary Butterfield Michigan Theaters Co. The Mecca Theatre was still open in 1950. It was still open in 1952, but had closed by 1955.
