The historic Lincoln Theater in Port Angeles, Washington was opened in 1916 with 950 seats. In the 1941 and 1943 editions of Film Day Yearbook it was listed as (Closed). It had reopened by 1950.
Later converted into a triple screen theatres with seating provided for 177 & 163 in the former orchestra level and 179 in the former balcony. It was almost closed in May 2001, but at the last minute a deal was worked out between Sun Basin Theaters and the owner of the building. The 519-seat triplex was closed in 2014.
In June 2016 it was purchased by the Marchant family with plans to convert it into a community arts venue. Seating will be provided for 450 and a 2019 opening is envisaged. The theater will have a single screen for film plus a stage for theater, music, comedy etc. The theater has been registered as a nonprofit organisation and hopes to be approved for 501©(3) status.
