The Alhambra was opened as a cinema on 11th September 1919. From September 1923 it was operated jointly with the Eldorado Cinema, but in late-summer of 1928, the owners of the Alhambra split off and renovated their cinema. It was closed in 1979.
The building still stands in 2024 in use as the Au Bublau Restaurant, a pub and brasserie, which has retained some of the original decorations of the cinema and even has seating in the balcony.
