The By-Jo Theatre was opened in downtown Germantown in 1926. This is a must see for anyone who remembers or would love to know what theatres where before the attack of the Mega Cineplex.
The theatre was refurbished in 1986, and is just 15 minutes from Dayton or about 10 minutes from Dayton Mall.

I took my family here last night to see Shark Tales. What an experience. The Theatre reminds me alot of an old nickeloden. The theatre is rather narrow and long. The interior is simple and untouched by time. But best of all it is very personable. The only staff was I think the Husband, wife and their son. I felt like I was guest in somebodys home, not a movie theatre. Tickets were only $3 and I walked away from the concession stand with a soda and pop corn for only $5. Try to find that at your local megaplex. I recommend to anyone looking to step back in time to visit the By-Jo.
