This small town theater was for sale as of 12/03, when I saw it. It’s more of a post-moderne style; call it ‘50s boxy. The facade is yellow brick with orange brick accents. The vertical marquee is simple, but attractive. Not sure how long it’s been vacant, but it seemed to be in very good shape.

I’ve never been to this theater. I’m not even sure where Dimmit, Texas is located. :)
theater is very cool inside!
Click on the map button above. Even Google maps can’t find Dimmit. LOL
Isn’t Muleshoe just north of Dang-it? LOL
According to this article, the Carlile Theater re-opened in 2003 as the Liberty Theater even though the marquee reads Carlile Theater. I don’t know its current status, but this theater should be listed as the Liberty Theater since that was its most recent name.
The theater is so cool for a theater in no were land!
