Texas Theater ... Junction Texas

Viewing: Photo | Street View

This small theater is located just off the courthouse square in Junction. The building is a plain white stepped facade with a nice little vertical sign topped by a star, which is the only piece that still has neon. The outdoor ticket booth is in red tile with a white tile ’T'. The theater seems to have closed in August ‘02 for renovation.

Actually, the caption says that’s the one in Hamilton, which is about 400 miles NE of Junction. This is Junction’s.

This theater opened on Janurary 1, 1928. Here is a photo of the ticket booth with the large white “T” as Seth mentioned in the above description.

The Texan Theatre closed in 2002 and seating was listed at 350 seats.

Evidently the renovation never took place.
