ROCHESTER Drive-In Theatre, Rochester, New York

The Drive-In was located opposite the Rochester Airport. It opened in 1942. Later renamed Rochester Drive-In, it closed in 1982. The Rochester Drive-In had a capacity for 726 cars.

I found some additional info on this drive-in. The original name was “Drive-In Theater” when it opened on May 29th, 1942. The name was changed to the Rochester Drive-In in 1946. The movie that played here on opening day was “Look Who’s Laughing” starring Edgar Bergen, Charlie McCarthy, Fibber McGee and Molly.
