The Gem Theatre opened in 1950, as a single screen theater. The theater closed in 2002 for several months to convert it into four screens, while keeping its old-fashioned feel. The Gem Theatre shows first-run movies, and is part of the mini Gabel Theaters chain, which also runs the Acme in Riverton, and the Grand in Lander.
