Beltline Drive-In

The Beltline Drive-In opened on July 10, 1948 with Robert Page in “The Red Stallion”. It was operated by Jack Loek’s and had a capacity for 850-cars. In December 1965 a 1,000-seat indoor theatre was added (this eventually became the Jack Loek’s Studio 28 which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Beltline Drive-In became a 3-screen drive-In and was closed in 1988.

The Beltline Drive-In Theatre was overtaken by the adjacent Studio 28 Theatres which announced its closing on November 2008. See

It opened on July 10th, 1948 and closed on August 29th, 1987 to make way for the world’s largest cinema complex. Screens 2 & 3 opened on April 26th, 1978. Grand opening ad posted.
