    Britain’s Old Theatres

The current edition of Britain’s cherished magazine of nostalgia, OLD THEATRES, (Edition 10) features a section devoted to theatres which became cinemas. Several London theatres are included in Mike Lang’s article, including Putney Hippodrome which was converted into a cinema during its early days and the Shakespeare theatre at Clapham Junction. We show pictures of its exterior and auditorium, together with Camden Hippodrome, Clapham Grand, and Blyth Theatre Royal.

This very special edition also details many of the theatres in Britain which are now at risk, and we include pictures of the appalling state that some of them are now in. We welcome comments from your supporters which should be sent to us by E Mail: .
