Preservation Alert Clearview’s Art Deco Metro Theater Closes
NEW YORK, NY — With no fanfare at all, one of New York City’s most under-appreciated Art Deco facades went dark last week with the closure of the Metro Theater. This theater, which was featured in “Hannah and Her Sisters,” deserves an encore. Landmark, City Cinemas, Crown, Symphony Space: we’re talking to you. Make a deal…quickly.
