YORK, ENGLAND — If you are a fan of 70mm then get ready for the biggest festival of 70mm the UK has seen in years. City Screen York will be holding the following screenings in its main stadium seated THX auditorium:

Lawrence Of Arabia – Thur Nov 4 at 1pm presented in Super Panavision 70

Edward Scissorhands – Fri Nov 5 at 11pm presented in 70mm

Tron – 1.30pm presented in Super Panavision 70
The Right Stuff – 3.30pm presented in 70mm
“Surprise film” – 7.45pm
Brainstorm – 10.30pm presented in Super Panavision 70

Lawrence Of Arabia – 12.30 noon presented in Super Panavision 70
Oklahoma – 5.30pm presented in 30fps Todd-AO
West Side Story – 9pm presented in Super Panavision 70

This is the first time for years that some of these titles have been shown in these fomats and some of the prints have been specially imported for the occcasion, aditional info, the screen size at the cinema is 10.5m wide by 4.75m high, its seats 226 and has THX sound.
