RIVERSIDE, PA — Ever wish you could go into a time machine and go back to a time when life was much more simple, but far more fun? Well, here it is! DRIVE-IN SUPERMONSTERMANIA is two nights of classic horror and science fiction 35mm prints presented at an authentic drive-in movie theater. There will be two big shows on two consecutive nights which will start at dusk and go on until really late into the night!

We are trying to turn this into an annual event, so we encourage East Coast drive-in movie fanatics to attend and make it a rousing success! What could be better than a weekend getaway topped off with two nights of classic monster movies on the big outdoor screen? Admission is only $10 a person each night!

What is being shown and when?

On Friday, September 7, the features in our “Nature-Gone-Beserk” night will be FOOD OF THE GODS, SQUIRM, EMPIRE OF THE ANTS and the original WILLARD.

On Saturday, September 8, the “creature features” will be TALES FROM THE CRYPT (1972), HORROR EXPRESS, GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE and HANNAH QUEEN OF THE VAMPIRES.

Each night we will also present an array of vintage monster movies trailers in between the features which we will know you will just love!

Where is the theater?

DRIVE-IN SUPERMONSTERMANIA will be held at the Riverside Drive-In Theatre in Vandergrift, PA. For the dates of September 7 and 8, the theater will devote its screen exclusively to these special nights of vintage entertainment. The actual driving location of the theater reads as: Riverside Drive In Theatre, Route 66 N, Vandergrift, PA 15690. If you put that information as your destination on Mapquest, you can easily access directions from your starting location. The phone number of the theater is 724-568-1250 and their website is here.

I’m a little confused here. In one paragraph you say these are 35mm film prints. Yet in another sentence you refer people to a DVD site. So is this going to be a film presentation or just another big screen tv showing?

This is a theatrical showing with all 35mm prints. DVD Drive-In (a site that reviews cult movies on DVD) is the sponsor.

Also, the event is in Vandergrift PA, not Riverside PA. The name of the drive-in theater is The Riverside.
